Geology day

Every now and then our geologists organize this race where they compete with each other. Now the time has come for another race! Each guild must send out their geologists to find certain deposits! In the time it takes them to get back, we must prepare a feast! Get to it! We must duly honor our geologists for their hard work!

We got the winner! Let’s celebrate the work of these brave men! Hurray! The King was very happy to hear of our actions and has sent us a token of his appreciation!

Detail tab
Our geologists are about to return from the race and we want to have the feasts ready by then! Our cooks are ready to do their magic and you are the one who can provide them with the necessary ingredients! They want to make a special fish meal! So… let’s bring them fish!

Rainy Year

The weather report we received today was not a promising one. It seems we’re going to experience a lot of rain, and there’s even a chance of huge storms. Just to be sure, let’s prepare for a rainy year.

We’re done here! Let the rain come – we’re prepared, except if that legendary four winds storm hits. I hope that will never happen – it would provoke a real crisis, let me tell you.

Secret Renovation
Detail tab
Using some stone, we should start reinforcing some of our workyards and other buildings. We don’t need to make it too official though – let’s call it ‘renovation’.

The settlers were curious about the sudden upturn in work, but nobody asked any probing questions. I’m guessing they trust us enough!

Detail tab
It’s well known that fish become more active when there’s a lot of rain. I fear that the rain will stay limited to the northern parts of the island, and the fish might migrate there. Refill the fish deposits, just to make sure we won’t run out.

Yes, very good work!

Detail tab
In case we can’t manage, the only way to get help is by asking Capital Island or our friends. I would stick to the second option – you know how hard it is to get anything from the King. Taking that into consideration, we should visit a friend and help out where we can.

Our friend promised to return the favor!

A Special Barn
Detail tab
I’m worried that our wheat fields may wither away in the rainy weather. Let’s make a barn out of mahogany wood and store our grain there until the weather clears a little bit.

All right! The perfect barn. This should keep the wheat dry no matter how much it rains or pours. I’m actually more worried about what we’ll do if people want to get in to shelter! Where will we put the wheat!

Road to Nowhere

We’ve received a letter from some settlers that used to have a colony on this island they want to come back. Apparently they left the island in hope of a better life, but the road they’ve chosen has lead nowhere. I guess we can lend them a small part of the island. Prepare for their arrival.

The settler colony arrived this morning. They’re not yet ready to join our community, but I’m sure they will… some day.

Stone Shelter
Detail tab
We need to prepare some proper shelter for these people. I guess some stone houses would do the job. We can build them inside the forest so they won’t need any additional structure. We need stone.

There’s enough stone for them to have those shelters!

The colonists will need food and all sorts of agricultural tools to work the land, and weapons to defend their homes. The best we can do is send them some of our swords – our farmers are very fond of their multipurpose abilities.

Hmm, the idea was for them to forge the swords into plowshares should they need them. Instead the colonists just strapped the swords into their plows. Anyway, whatever floats their boat.

The Abandoned Mines

The Miner’s Union has found an abandoned chamber with a huge gate blocking the way deeper into the cave system. They somehow managed to open it and found another, bigger chamber. It seems like an underground jungle of sorts. We need to explore it!

The exploration of the underground jungle was a success! We’ve found some nice relics that will surely tell us a lot about our ancestors that lived on this island, a long long time ago.

Help for Help
Detail tab
While we’re exploring the mine, we’ll need somebody to take care of the island. How about a quick visit? Go see your friend, take a gift with you, and hope that while we’re busy you’ll receive something in return!

A temporary treasure

A legend exists telling of an old pirate who lost his ship and crew. He used to be spotted regularly, dragging his treasure with him, and was known for being extremely rude. However, no-one has seen him lately, and it is thought that he has passed away. Nevertheless, his treasure is out there somewhere… waiting for somebody to claim it! Let’s have our guild work together to find it!

Using all the map pieces we finally found the treasure, but when we… err… opened it… all we found was some pink underwear. Yes, well, at least the old pirate had a sense of humor. He must be laughing in his grave right now.

Cannonball
Detail tab
You know what our explorer told me? He said he’s going to look for clues when he is out there doing his task! Great! Before he left, he asked us to tend to his dogs, and it turned out he has around one hundred of them. The dogs like fish, and feeding time is approaching fast.

Anyway the statue is made of granite. You know what to do.

The Hammer Brothers

Today we’ve received two guests from an island called Booth, sent by King Damien himself. They seem to be brothers, and are trying out a new way of building a sort of underground tunnel system called ‘sewers’. I’ve no idea why is that a good thing. Help them with their first experiment.

The brothers have appeared from a hole in the ground to tell us our soil isn’t the best type for their tests, but they were very thankful nonetheless!

Foreign Food
Detail tab
Before they started digging, they asked us about the famous Fish Platter we eat around here. They would love to try some of the fish we have. The smaller brother seems slightly overweight, and looks hungry, so we had better get a decent amount of fish.

Dark Lands

Up there, far to the north, are some islands that never really experience proper sunshine. It’s always dark up there. No wonder they’re called the Dark Lands. We’re taking part of a initiative to help the people who live there.

The people that live in the Dark Lands will be happy to see how many nice gifts they’ve received. I really hope this will help them live an easier life.

It’s really hard to grow crops in the dark lands, due to… well, the lack of sun. I have this theory, however, that magic beans would grow nicely if watered correctly. Let’s try it out.
